Envestnet | Tamarac Takes Top Honors at Family Wealth Report Awards for Best Portfolio Management Application
Award recognizes the caliber of the company's Advisor View™ application

CHICAGO, March 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Envestnet | Tamarac ( announced today that it has received the 2017 Family Wealth Report Award for best portfolio management software. The company was recognized for its Advisor View portfolio management and performance reporting application, which is part of the Advisor Xi® web-based platform for Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs).

"We are very pleased to be honored for our focus on outstanding portfolio management and the caliber of the Advisor View application," said Stuart DePina, president of Envestnet | Tamarac. "This award is a testament to our team's dedication to implementing feedback from the advisors we serve so we can continually enhance Advisor View's capabilities."

Advisor View offers RIAs portfolio analysis, personal dashboards, customizable PDF reports, and powerful billing capabilities. The client portal engages clients with custom, dynamic reports, account aggregation, personal financial management tools and a secure platform for communication. The award reflects the many enhancements Envestnet | Tamarac has made to Advisor View in the past year, including:

  • An innovative feature that enables advisors to create new accounts in Advisor View that are populated with percentages of the assets in other accounts. These accounts can also be customized and tracked in Advisor View, marking the first time such a "percentage ownership" capability has been made available to advisors as a fully integrated component of a portfolio accounting system.
  • The first in a series of updates to enable better management and reporting of alternative assets in Advisor View, such as cost-basis tracking and estimated-value calculations.
  • A two-way integration with MoneyGuidePro®, enabling advisors and their clients to use MoneyGuidePro's goals-based reporting tools through Advisor View and its client portal.
  • Composite reporting for specific categories of securities.

This Family Wealth Report Award is reflective of the success of the Advisor Xi platform overall, with its main components truly consisting of best-in-class applications. Envestnet | Tamarac's trading solution, Advisor Rebalancing, also won best Rebalancing Application in the 2016 Wealth Industry Awards last winter. More than one-third of all independent RIAs with more than $1 billion in assets under management trust the Advisor Xi platform to service their clients and grow their business.

"The firms who triumphed in these awards are all worthy winners, and I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations. These awards were judged solely on the basis of entrants' submissions and their response to a number of specific questions, which had to be answered focusing on the client experience, not quantitative performance metrics. That is a unique, and I believe, compelling feature," said Stephen Harris, CEO of ClearView Financial Media and published of Family Wealth Report. These awards recognize the very best operators in the private client industry, with 'independence,' 'integrity' and 'genuine insight' the watchwords of the judging process – such that the awards truly reflect excellence in wealth management."

Presented annually, the Family Wealth Report Awards recognize companies, teams and individuals from the global private banking, wealth management and advisor communities that have demonstrated innovation and excellence during the previous calendar year. An expert panel of judges is drawn from both private banks and trusted advisors/consultants to the sector. The 2017 Family Wealth Report Award for portfolio management was presented to Envestnet | Tamarac at an awards dinner held in New York on March 2.
